Recipes for silky and hydrated hair

Having silky and hydrated hair is not always a simple thing. Mainly, it depends above all on our genetics, that is, on the type of hair that we have, and also, of course, on the care we give to this both daily and weekly.

Today, I tell you my case, how is my hair type, what care I dedicate personally, and also, I give you 2 recipes to have a silky and hydrated hair regardless of what type of hair you have.

How my hair is and what care do I give it?

Let’s see, my hair has always been thick and dry … To this, we must add, that now I have it dyed and with wicks, so it is still drier and has been damaged by discoloration products. Having said that, it is logical to think that my hair needs an extra supply of hydration than it would need a normal, fine or oily hair and also a non-corrosive cleaning that maintains the color of the dye and the wick and also does not dry it even more. . Something quite complicated, to tell the truth!

How often do I wash my hair and what routines do I follow?

Well, as I practice sports almost daily, but I also have dry hair that does not need to be washed every day as it can happen in the case of oily hair, for example, I wash my head about 3 times a week. I apply twice a shampoo, that is, I was a first time, rinse, and apply the shampoo again for the second time. I use color protective shampoo and reconstructor. What does this mean? That, on the one hand, is protecting my dye and my wicks and on the other is “rebuilding” the hair fiber damaged by these chemicals.

Of the three times, I wash my head a week, I apply an ultra-hydrating and nourishing mask once a week and on the other two occasions I use a conditioner (not a mask) for damaged hair. The conditioner is somewhat lighter and does not clump the hair as much as masks can.

But as an extra contribution, I have two more products. One is the oil or the coconut butter and another is a product that I bought in the solid format in Lush, adding hot water to a mask. Both one product and the other is to apply a few hours before washing our head. I have two different ones, in one of those hair washes in which I use a conditioner (not a mask), a few hours before (3 or 4 hours) I applied one of these products. What I usually do is use a different one every week. This gives extra hydration to the hair very necessary for my hair, really.

Once my head is washed, I usually use a heat-protective spray and brush normally. Normally, what I do is apply curling foam (I have wavy hair) and dry with the diffuser (in winter). And voila, I do not do any other care to the hair.

Now, if you have another type of hair or want to know recipes to keep it healthy and smooth, then we give you three different ones.
